The beloved saga of people standing up to a cruel world order had its release in 2012 and celebrated its 5-year anniversary in 2017. It introduced to us some amazing characters and sent a lot of young actors on their way to stardom.

It seems only fair for us at Bright Side to look back and see how much our favorite characters from The Hunger Games have changed in these 5 years and what they are up to now.

Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen)

One of the most acknowledged stars coming from this series is, for sure, Jennifer Lawrence. After becoming a fan icon as Katniss, she moved on to be an Oscar winner and a star of the controversial movie Passengers. She has more movies coming up in 2018: Red Sparrow and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Amandla Stenberg (Rue)

The little star Miss Stenberg is all grown up now. After portraying the adorable Rue in The Hunger Games, she appeared in several short movies, gave voice to Bia in Rio 2, and is currently working on The Hate U Give in the role of Starr Carter.

Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen)

Katniss’s sister, Primrose Everdeen, has grown before our eyes into a beautiful lady and a very capable actress. After taking a break from filming, she returned in 2017 with the role of Rachel in Into The Rainbow.

Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne)

The extremely handsome Australian actor Liam Hemsworth stole our hearts as Gale in The Hunger Games and quickly became a fan favorite. Having outgrown his boyish charm and turned into a dashing gentleman, he is returning to screens in 2019 in Isn’t It Romantic and Killerman.

Paula Malcomson (Mrs. Everdeen)

This gorgeous actress seems to never change with time. She is still portraying heartfelt roles, and her upcoming films include We Have Always Lived in the Castle and a small TV series called Krypton, in which Malcomson portrays Charys-El.

Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark)

The other very attractive male lead is Mr. Hutcherson. He has his hands full with a ton of upcoming movies and ended 2017 with 3 premieres: Ape, Tragedy Girls, and The Disaster Artist. He also plays the part of Josh Futturman in the TV series Future Man.

Alexander Ludwig (Cato)

The boy we all loved to hate in the first installment of The Hunger Games is now an astonishing male lead in Vikings. He is also in the process of filming Peace, coming to your screens in 2019. The Canadian actor feels perfectly at home among the young Hollywood sex symbols.

Jacqueline Emerson (Fox Face)

Jacqueline “Jackie” Emerson had the part of Fox Face in The Hunger Games, giving a face to the fan-favorite book character. Sadly, after 2015 she did not appear either on the big or small screen.

Stanley Tucci (Caesar Flickerman)

Beloved by millions, Mr. Tucci has appeared in dozens of heartwarming movies that define our era of cinematography, and he shows no signs of stopping. In 2017, he appeared as Ted Swenson in Submission and has his 3 upcoming movies in post-production for 2018 (Show Dogs, Nomis, and Patient Zero).

Isabelle Fuhrman (Clove)

Before her appearance in The Hunger Games, beautiful Isabelle was snatched for the main part in Orphan in 2009. She then voiced movie characters as well as characters from video games (Let It Die). She was a recurrent actress on the hit TV show Masters of Sex and has 3 movies coming up in 2018.

We hope you enjoyed our recap of the actors from The Hunger Games. Who was your favorite? Did you like what happened to them 6 years later? Be sure to share your thoughts with us in the comments!
