When Nadine Vaujour’s husband was arrested for attempted murder and robbery, she learnt how to fly a helicopter. After getiing her license, she painted oranges to look like grenades then went to rescue her man. After getting him, they flew to a nearby stadium where she had a car waiting. Unfortunately, a few months later, her husband was killed during a robbery and she was also arrested.

2.Trek Through Siberia

People have often debated whether this story is even true. Witold Glinski was taken as a war prisoner during WWII and after being transferred to the deplorable Gulag, he escaped. Rumor has it that he walked for 11 months through Siberia and the Himalayas to get to India.

3.Public Enemy No.1

John Dillinger also known as public enemy no. 1, was one of the most successful gangsters in the history of the United States. After he was captures, he made a fake gun out of a bar of soap and ended up stealing the sheriff’s car t and killed by the FBI.

4.A Trio of Blacksmiths

These 3 men were placed in Parkhurst prison (the UK Alcatraz) for crimes ranging from murder to planting bombs. Like another trio on our list, they escaped, but by making a master key and unlocking their way to their freedom.They were recaptured a few days later but this was one of the coolest ways to escape.

5.Tunnel Anyone?
Recently, the Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman literally walked out of the maximum security facility but not in the way that you think. His workers digged a mile long tunnel with lights and ventilation from his cell to a nearby construction site. He as recaptured 6 months later and is waiting to escape again.
6.Practicing Yoga Can Come in Handy
Choi Gap-Bok took 34 seconds to escape from the Korean prison where he was serving time. He did so by rubbing himself in lotion and bending his body through a 6 x 17 inch food slot. He attributed his ability to bend to his yoga skills which he practiced for over 20 years.

Kim An was locked up for raping and killing a 12 year old girl in Indonesia. Six months later, he dedided to escape. On the day that his wife and 2 children visited, he dressed up in Islamic womens clothing, put on some lipstick and walked out of the prison with the rest of his family.
8.Escape From Alcatraz

When people hear the name Alcatraz, they think of an inescapable island surrounded by ice cold water. Somehow, 3 inmates managed to escape from the prison and when they got to the sea, they built a make shift raft and attempted to sailed to the California coast. There has been no word on whether they ever made it.

9.The Man Who Escaped From Jail 22 Times
Brian Bo Larson was not the smartest criminal but he was an excellent escape artist, escaping from 13 different facilities in over 22 year. The last time being in 2014 and we have not heard from him since.
10.Got Mail?
Richard Lee McNair escaped from jail three times and each time he outdid himself. During his last escape, he worked in the mailroom and after learning the system, he sent himself out of jail by hiding in the mailbag. He was almost caught by a police officer but posed as a jogger.
